Dessert pizza is a tricky concept
Last year we barely saw any peaches worth buying, which is a crying shame considering how far south we live. (We buy ours from local farmers, but we’re aware some fruit has been subject to recall.) We’re having fun eating peaches whole, but also like trying new recipes. The pizza above uses our standard dough, balsamic reduction, blue cheese, pecans and basil. We’ve posted a few new ones already including our peach shortcakes and grilled peaches with bourbon (what else!). We’ll be posting some new recipes in the weeks to come. In the meantime here are some of our all-time favorites.
First the drinks:
Peach, Bourbon Fizz
That is a nice looking peach
The Smokey Peach (See also Peach Margaritas)
It’s like an adult slurpee
Peach Daiquiris with Mint
Nice glass? There’s a beer logo on the back. Seriously.
Now for the bites:
Grilled Shrimp with Polenta, Peaches and Peppers
Throw that shrimp on the barbie
Peachy Keen Pancakes
A little slice of sunlight
Overnight French Toast with Buttermilk and Peaches
Peach Jam Scones
Dessert for breakfast what a charming idea
Bourbon Peach Butter
Does anyone still make a good vanilla ice cream
Peaches Stuffed with Amaretti
The ice cream is overkill. Tasty overkill
Deep Dish Peach Cobblers for Two
Simple cleanup skills there
About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide
This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.

Reblogged this on The ObamaCrat™.
Yep, peachy keen.
What a great recipe collection! This has been a bumper year for peaches. It’s been some time since I tasted peaches that were this good. Love it!
What perfect timing…I just bought some peaches at the store, so thank you for all of the great recipes!
Heading to pick peaches this week! This is a perfect round up.
