About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide
This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.

This certainly has been the time for those beautiful tomatoes to shine! Love the variety of recipes that you’ve been able to use the humble tomato in.
I love tomatoes, and with these recipes I will love them even more!
I would never have thought of a tomato martini, but I am happy that you did as now I can give it a try. Also love the breaded tomato slices, a la fried green tomatoes, great idea with our bumper crops of tomatoes here in the South.
Mmmm I’m a fan of all that gooey cheese in the first photo! I’ll have a large portion of each, pretty please. 🙂
