Cilantro Yogurt Dipping Sauce

Don't be afraid to double dip

Don’t be afraid to double dip

This is a very flavorful dipping sauce perfect with naan or roti. It is also good for vegetables, meat kabobs and just about anything else you may want to dunk in it. Fresh jalapenos can be substituted for the pickled ones. Any leftover sauce makes for a great marinade.

Cilantro Yogurt Sauce

  • 1 pickled jalapeno
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1″ piece peeled fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • Salt/pepper

Put everything in the blender and puree until smooth. Season with salt and pepper and refrigerate for one hour before serving.

  6. I am looking for a way to use some yogurt and happened to pick up cilantro today. I will have to try this tonight, maybe with some lamb chops? 🙂

Thank you so much for the link to my blog, I am quite flattered. I have a bunch of cilantro in the fridge (I adore the stuff) so this would be a perfect way to use some of it.
