The holly is taking over

The holly is taking over

This drink reminds of of the Italian sodas we had at a restaurant off Jackson Square in New Orleans. Now if we can only recreate the soft shell crab eggs Benedict….

Cream Puff

  • 1 1/4 oz spiced rum
  • 1 tsp simple syrup
  • 1 1/2 oz heavy cream
  • soda water

Blend rum, simple syrup and cream in a blender with a handful of ice. Pour into a tumbler. Fill with soda. Garnish with cinnamon sugar or fresh grated nutmeg.

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.
