A nice winter background

Because there is tequila and tomato juice in the cupboard.

Bloody Maria

  • 2-3 oz Reposado tequila
  • 2 dashes Tapatio
  • 3 dashes angostura bitters
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 oz pickled jalapeno brine
  • 5.5 oz can tomato juice

In a shaker mix everything together. Dust the rim of a pint glass with Old Bay and fill with ice. Pour drink in. Serve garnished with a pickled jalapeno.

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.

  2. Wow, that’s a powerful looking drink! Looks like it will warm you in the winter and cool you in the summer. 🙂

  3. Intriguing…I have seen a lot of drinks using bitters, but I haven’t tried any. I love bloody Marys, but tequila? Yum.
