Presidential Drinks

Sure the drinks are pretty but check out those counters

We’re on a bit of a rum kick. We were perusing Bacardi’s website the other week and couldn’t decide between El Presidente No. 1 or El Presidente No. 2. So naturally we made both. The second version calls for grenadine (you can guess which one that is) and is a bit sweeter. Both also use vermouth. We thought No. 1 was the clear winner. OK, Greg thought it was the clear winner. Katherine didn’t like either one and made a very expensive rum and Coke when she thought no one was looking. The site has great cocktail ideas if you’re looking for new rum drinks.

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.
