Mint Strawberry Jam

Hey, there has not been a rooster in a while

Well strawberry season is here and once again we wanted to mix up the jam recipe. This one takes advantage of fresh mint and lemon juice.

Once again we have a new favorite jam recipe.

As always use only the freshest ripest fruit for jam. For how to can go here.

Strawberry Mint Jam

  • 9 cups finely chopped strawberries
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
  • 1/2 lemon zest + juice

Place everything in a large stock pot and bring to a boil. Turn heat down to medium and boil until thick. Can quickly and refrigerate any containers that do not seal. Store for a month before serving.

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.

Strawberries and mint are a great combination.

  4. That’s the simplest jam recipe ever! Our strawberries are not in season yet…and unbelievably I have never made strawberry jam. I must give it a try. I like the idea of the lemon and mint.

  5. Love the sound of this. I always have mint taking over my garden and looking for new ideas, thanks

What a great idea to add mint to strawberry jam. Will have to try that some time.
