Top with sliced meat or vegetables as well

This is a very simple basic cheese spread. It can easily be turned into a salad dressing by adding enough buttermilk to thin it out. The spices can also be adjusted to turn it into a sauce for any number of different roast meats. Or just spread it on crackers, toast or chips as a dip.

Blue Cheese Spread

  • 4 ounces blue cheese
  • 1/2 a lime juiced
  • 1/4 cup greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp horseradish
  • Black pepper

Mix everything together into a smooth paste. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving.

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.

Like that you added a bit of horseradish, making it especially good with beef.

You can’t go wrong with blue cheese, I bet you could even dress the 1970’s cheese whiz in celery sticks!

  4. Now that sounds pretty tasty. I’ll have to try it this weekend.
