Don’t cocktails have the best names? We’d never heard of blinders until we were searching for recipes that would make great use of fresh grapefruit juice and behold we saw the light. On that note we’ll just get to the recipe.
Blinders
- 1 1/2 ounces bourbon or rye*
- 4 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 1 tsp grenadine
Fill a tall glass three quarters of the way up with ice. Pour in liquor, then juice. Drizzle in grenadine and garnish with a cocktail cherry.
*We tried bourbon and rye and were happy with both. The bourbon is a bit sweeter, but not overly so.
Neigh!
Sounds great and I love your little cocktail stick for the cherries π
I have got to get a set of those little cherry picks!
Gotta try this! Big bourbon fans in our house and we just received a crate of grapefruit as a gift!
I love grapefruit juice and fresh is even better. I’ll definitely save this one for one of our hotter summer days.
