Have a Happy New Year

All four are mine

All four are mine

We’ll be taking it easy on New Year’s Eve, probably having a bottle of sparkling wine at home. While we’ll be drinking it straight, or maybe with a drizzle of limoncello here are our favorite ways to mix it up and we’ll even throw in a sparkly mocktail for good measure.

We might also be baking up some tapas in our busted up kitchen.

Perhaps some of these for luck:

Black-eyed Pea Nuts

Two peas in a pod

Or maybe some Pancetta-wrapped dates since it’s date night:

For Pete's sake get your mind out of the gutter

Or perhaps some roasted red pepper bruschetta:

Or maybe we’ll just eat a little baked brie with our bubbly:

Garnished and ready to eat

We hope you enjoy your New Year’s Eve just as much and wish you all a Happy New Year!

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.

I’m just adding a spoonful of home made raspberry syrup to a glass of chardonnay to celebrate at midnight and save the bubbly budget for my b’day in February. 🙂
