Greg pulled the garden, save the remaining tomato plants, over the weekend. There were still three watermelon on the vine, so we had one last summery drink.

Watermelon Cilantro Margaritas

  • 3 cups cubed watermelon
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1/4 triple sec
  • 1/4 cup cilantro (stem and all)
  • 1/4 simple syrup

Blend all ingredients until pureed. Add two to three handfuls of ice and blend again. Note, we tried a version with lime and found it overpowered the fruit. If you choose to add some, we’d suggest doing so sparingly.

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.
