Fresh or frozen strawberries work great in this drink, but remember to cut back on the ice if you’re using frozen berries. If you don’t have Mezcal, use tequila but it will not have the same smokey kick. There’s nothing wrong with a nice, fruity margarita though.
Strawberry Mezcarita
- 1/2 pint fresh strawberries
- juice from one lime
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3/4 cup Mezcal
- 1/4 cup triple sec
- ice
In a blender, blend everything together but the ice. Once the mix is pureed add two handfuls of ice and blend again. Serve in two margarita glasses. Garnish with lime slices.
Oh boy….that looks good..and lethal! (perhaps because it is good…who could resist another?)
The minute I saw the name I knew I’d like this.
Substitute these for Bloody Mary’s at Sunday brunch. I doubt anyone would mind. 😉
