Sunday Suppers: Tapas Night

Small plates are always fun. Set a few out and graze all night long.

Start with some meat.

I may be able to pop all of those into my mouth at once

Lamb meatballs with yogurt dipping sauce

and also have a dip.

I ran out of goat cheese or there would not be any bread showing through at all

Mushrooms with capers and anchovies

a salad.

This makes a great snack or side course

Calamari salad

a vegetable.

Really good, but I can only eat about 2 1/2 slices at a time

Marinated eggplant

and a little something stuffed.

Well healthy for us that is

Stuffed mushrooms with tomatoes feta and capers

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.

Not sure why but we’ve never planned a tapas meal for the two of us. Sounds like a great way to wrap up a Saturday night!

Well . . . you finally did it. I would go hungry if you invited me to this Tapas Repast. I don’t eat meat, mushrooms, eggplant, or calamari.

    The bread looks good.

I’m going to a dinner party this afternoon . . . and now I’m thinking I better have a snack before I go.

I love tapas! Great photos of the food – I can almost taste it. I think i will try that calamari salad because it calls for Greco di Tufo white wine πŸ™‚

Yum. Tapas is my favourite way to eat. I could graze on small plates every night (I was born to be Spanish, I’m sure!). Love the look of that mushroom mix, the eggplant, the meatballs… actually, everything. Can I come over? I will bring cake!
