Is the garden producing like crazy yet? If not there is always the farmer’s market.

Start with some soup

What a lovely garnish

Roasted Cream of Tomato Soup

Then some salad

It's as close to vegetarian as I get

Panzanella Salad

A little bit of fried never hurt

Almost had some cheese leakage

Spinach and Ricotta Fritters

No one can turn down watermelon for dessert

Drizzle on some limoncello

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.

  7. I would love a meal with all of these dishes. I went to the market with my daughter and there is an abundance of tomatoes and cherries.. so we’ve got to get going on some roasted tomato soup for sure!
