Sunday Suppers: Lots of Game Day Apps

From what I have heard there is going to be some sort of sporting competition going on today and many people like to have parties. Here are a few ideas to get the ball rolling while watching the different athletes make their dunks, turn a few triple plays and score as many slapshots as possible. Or to keep you in the kitchen (closer to the liquor)Β  if that type of thing sounds fairly dull.

Although I never understood why tennis had such a following.

For the healthy minded how about these as well as potato chips

Crispy and spicy

Or this alternative to french fries

They looked fried, but looks are deceiving

This is a little less healthy but it’s chicken right?

Taste the flavors of the orient

Some fried cheese never hurt

Almost had some cheese leakage

Or a low-fat take on shrimp

What else do you have to say

What else do you have to say

Skip the jar and make you own salsa

Now that's a knife.

Now that’s a knife.

Of course there needs to be some booze

Who says jello shots can't be classy

Hope everyone has a good time.

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.

Competition of a different kind here today. It will most certainly keep us in the kitchen. πŸ˜‰ I LOVE those fries! Still my favorite way to prepare them.

I’d love some of those wings with hot sauce. That hasn’t caught on in the UK so far… shame πŸ˜‰

If you’re not having a party today, shame on you! A fantastic appetizer round-up, Greg.

  6. Finally able to leave comments again:) I so want to try the smoked salmon appetizers. They look delish and any kind of soft cheese with salmon makes me happy. You missed a good game:)
