They are always trying to take me lucky charms
We have not one, but two fellow bloggers to blame for this crazy concoction. Caroline, of Sweet Caroline’s blog, posted the recipe and JamieAnne of A Dash of Domestic provided the cereal. Seriously, we won a giveaway she was having and a few days later boxes of cereal were on our front stoop. We only made one change to the recipe, which you can see here, by adding a bit of Kahlua. We thought this was fitting since St. Patty’s Day is just around the corner. There’s a leprechaun on the box! Also, the Irish are the world’s top importer and producer of vanilla ice cream. That statistic, by the way, is as mythical as pots of gold at the end rainbows. They prefer chocolate.
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, we’ll be back with another drink on Friday night. Yes, that’s right two cocktails posts in one week!

Grateful it is not a Shamrock Shake from McD’s, though. Top o the morning. This is a breakfast drink, right?

I once had panna cotta made with Frosty Flakes-flavored milk… but this takes the idea to a new level. I’ll be running out to buy Lucky Charms tomorrow!

I’ve had ants in my pants for over a week trying to guess which recipe you decided to make…far too much anticipation! What perfect timing for St. Patty’s Day. How did it taste with the Kahlua? I know the original recipe called for it, so it must taste delicious…I mean, how could it not? Next time I’ll definitely add it! Thanks for the shout out, of course. 🙂

Creative recipe but I doubt I could stomach it, sorry. I’ll take my old fashioned vodka martini (it’s OK if you put a green olive in it this time, but NO green food colouring!)

Kahlua in coffee and now kahlua in Lucky Charms.. I was thinking if I poured myself a bowl of charms with milk and kahlua on top, no one would ever know… hmmm.. maybe oatmeal too??
