Honey Glazed Brussels Sprouts

I want some right now

I never understood why so many people hate brussel sprouts. Not only are they delicious, but they can be fancy or simple with very little work. I for one would like to see a rise in their popularity.

Honey Glazed Brussel Sprouts

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 ½ lbs Brussels sprouts
  • 1 tsp cardamom

Combine 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp honey and water in large pot. Add sprouts and bring to boil. Continue cooking until water evaporates. Meanwhile melt remaining butter and mix with cardamom and remaining honey. Pour over sprouts mix well and cook until thick.

    This looks great!

    I thought I hated brussels sprouts until the wedding of my friend’s sister. We were eating at the reception and there were brussels sprouts. I decided I would be a “big girl” and try them anyway…and then I realized they are fabulous! Now they are one of my favorite vegetables.

  10. I always cook my Brussels sprouts with bacon, but this recipe sounds yummy! I’m excited about trying this one because its vegetarian, and I think my kids will actually eat it!

  13. i agree — brussel sprouts are often underrated. i like to season brussel sprouts with honey & nutmeg.
