German Chocolate Cake Martini

Ok, so the color may be off, but the taste is dead on.

A close friend of mine came up with this delicious martini. I really like the fact that it uses coconut rum because, unless my sister in law is in town, I have absolutely no use for the stuff otherwise. I also substituted amaretto for the Frangelico with fairly good success but the Frangelico is preferred. Fair warning, these are strong and meant to be drunk fairly quickly.

Doug’s German Chocolate Cake Martini

2 ounces quality vanilla vodka

2 ounces Frangelico

¼ ounce coconut rum

Put everything in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and serve immediately.

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.
