Here is another blackberry jam recipe. Here is the best cocktail to use it in.

As always really ripe, fresh fruit makes the best jam. Go here for how to can. This makes about 6 medium sized jars.

Blackberry Jam with Cloves and Basil

  • 13 1/2 cups blackberries
  • 3 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 6 large basil leaves chopped into small pieces

Bring everything to a high boil and then cook until thick, about 25 minutes. Quickly can in sterilized containers.
