Strawberry Season

We were planning on skipping the farmers market this week until the morning news crews started gushing about local strawberries being in season. The news in these parts hasn’t been great lately, so cut them a little slack. Anyway, we rushed right on out to buy a flat. We’ll have some new recipes to post shortly. In the meantime, here are some of our favorites.

Our markets open this Saturday and strawberries are on the top of my list, quickly followed by asparagus and ramps. After that, i really don’t care. :)

We had a great time at the Derby this weekend. But the downside was that we missed the farmers’ markets, and the strawberries!
