Sunday Suppers: Fire Up the Grill

Summer is just around the corner and we want to get in as much grilling as possible before it gets here. Grilling in the summer, which we do often, is far more miserable than grilling in the winter. Grilling in the 40s can be a little brisk. (Winters here aren’t all that harsh, normally.) Grilling in triple digits will put hair on your chest, which will only make you that much hotter.

About Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide

This blog attempts to collect some of the things I try to create with food and booze. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. My hope is to entertain and maybe help people think a little harder about what they decide to eat and drink.

I have finally learned of the wonders of sweet potato fries. What a fun change of pace. I think I shall make some tomorrow with hot dogs!

  2. Goodness that all looks good! Barbequing is an Aussie tradition in summer – it’s must get much hotter in the South than it does here in Sydney! (I remember you having a scorcher last year – or was that the year before?)

Grilling in triple digits? Ill try to feel sorry for you. We had snow flurries today. Yes we did. We’re having a fire in the wood fireplace right now and contemplating turning the boiler back on tonight. It’s effin cold out with high winds.
